With Roots Above and Branches Below is the third studio album by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. The album was released on May 5, 2009.

During their 2008 tour, The Devil Wears Prada began playing I Hate Buffering to live audiences. Screaming vocalist Mike Hranica said, "We're really excited for this album. It's definitely going to be darker, heavier, and more epic. Expect a much heavier, more metal record." Drummer Daniel Williams states that the new album will be wilder and crazier containing parts that repeat, like choruses, and James Baney says that the new album will be more mechanical, but still containing their same distinct style. With Roots Above and Branches Below entails a more aggressive and steady vocal style than in the two previous albums.

Album art was illustrated by Dan Seagrave, who is well known for his work for metal acts ranging from Morbid Angel, Demon Hunter and Decrepit Birth.
