For using BPM Studio you need a PC system with the following components and software:
* IBM PC with Pentium III Prozessor and a system clock speed at least 800 MHz
* At least 256 MB RAM (better are 512 MB)
* At least 60-80 MB free disk space for the installation of BPM Studio
* SVGA video card with a resolution of 1024x768 pixel
* 16 bit sound card (we recommend using a professional multichannel sound card)
* 40x speed CD-ROM drive
* Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP or Winws Vista
* parallel printer port LPT1 or USB port for dongle
* serial port COM1 or 2 or additional USB port (if an ALCATech RC unit is used)
Hardware recommendations:
Rack mount system:
* 19'' industry PC case with at least a Pentium III-800 (if possible, no Celeron!)
* hight quality motherboards of well known trademarks (please don't use the onboard sound chip)
* 60-80 GB hard disk (you need nearly 1 MB disk space for each 1 minute sound)
* TFT display with 1024x768 resolution (tube monitors are unsuitable for use in discotheques)
* one of the professional sound cards tested by and available from ALCATech (SupportSoundcards)
- DELTA 410 made by M-AUDIO for 4 channels output / 1 channel input
- Prodigy 7.1 made by AudioTrak for 4 channels in+out
* All other parameters as stated above
Notebook solution:
* at least a Pentium III-800 with USB port
* a big harddisk (you need nearly 1 MB disk space for each 1 minute sound)
* one of the following profi sound cards tested by and available from ALCATech:
- RME HAmmerfall DSP System PCMCIIA
* All other parameters as stated above
Additional notes:
You need to connect a Dongle to your computer in order to use BPM Studio. The dongle for the USB port is supplied. Optionally a printer port (LPT) dongle is available instead of the USB port dongle.
