NOD32 е антивирусен пакет изработен от словашката компания Eset. Версиите са достъпни за Microsoft Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, и други платформи. Дистанционните административни инструменти за масово ползване са достъпни след допълнително заплащане. NOD32 Enterprise Edition е съвкупност от стандартния пакет и допълнителния. NOD32 Remote Administrator позволява на мрежовия администратор да наблюдава антивирусните функции, да извършва промени по системата и др.
NOD32 е родена през далечната 1990 година, когато компютърните вируси започнали да стават масова глобална заплаха. Почти веднага порграмата станала популярна между IT работниците в източно-европейските държави, а Eset била базирана в Словакия. Въпреки, че отначало заглавието на програмата не било предвидено да е така, след известно време то било наложено поради масовото ползване на програмата по целия свят, и звучало като английската дума "nod". Сегашните версии на NOD32 са много по-различни от оригиналния NOD софтуер. Няколко поколения на програмата са разработени вследствие на бързото развитие и след като вирусите станали по-сложни. Програмата, която работи и на 32-битови и на 64-битови системи е наречена NOD32, заменяйки по-старата 16-битова - NOD-ICE.
Eset скоро пуснаха най-новата версия (version 3) на NOD32 Anti-Virus и Eset Smart Security. Това е финалния тест на програмата, преди да бъде представен пред широката аудитория. NOD32 Version 3 има по-нов графичен дизайн, целящ да бъде по-лесна за използване програмата от по-широк кръг на обществото.

• Нов вид анализ на системата откриващ различни видове атаки.

• Защита на множество точки, включително HTTP, POP3, SMTP и всичката локална медия.
• Премахване на инфекции от заключени файлове, които не могат да се четат (т.е., заредени DLL файлове).
• Защита от отваряне и изпълняване на вече заразени файлове, и предупреждение преди създаване на инфектиран файл.
• Автоматично стартиране при стартиране на системата.
• Поддръжка на Terminal Server среди.
• Поддръжка на сканиране на мрежови дискове.
Системни изисквания:
* CPU 386 или повече (Pentium препоръчителен).
* 30 MB свободно дисково пространство.
* 32 MB RAM (зависи от OS).
* VGA или по-добра видео карта.

NOD32 is an antivirus package made by the Slovak company Eset. Versions are available for Microsoft Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and other platforms. Remote administration tools for multiuser installations are also available at extra cost. A NOD32 Enterprise Edition is available that consists of NOD32 AntiVirus and NOD32 Remote Administrator. The NOD32 Remote Administrator program allows a network administrator to monitor anti-virus functions, push installations and upgrades to unprotected PCs on the network, and update configuration files from a central location.
NOD32 was born in the early 1990s when computer viruses were becoming increasingly prevalent. Initially the program gained popularity with IT workers in Eastern European countries, as Eset was based in Slovakia. Though the program's abbreviation was originally pronounced as individual letters, recent worldwide use of the program has led to the more common single-word pronunciation, sounding like the English word "nod". Current versions of NOD32 are very different from the original NOD software. Several generations of the program have been developed as a response to a rapidly changing attack pattern by increasingly complex viruses. The program, now for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems[2], is known as NOD32, replacing the older 16-bit flagship product, NOD-ICE.
Eset has released release candidate versions of a new version (version 3) of NOD32 Anti-Virus and Eset Smart Security. This is the final testing edition of the software before the final version of the software, open to the general public. NOD32 Version 3 will include a redesigned graphical interface, intended to be more user friendly.

• Prevents infected files from being opened and executed, and warns on creation of infected files.
• Automatic execution on system startup.
• Supports multiple Terminal Server environments.
• Supports scanning of mapped network disks.
