Сюжет:В “Спайдър-мен 3”, Питър Паркър се сблъсква с най-голямото си предизвикателство досега и най-страшната битка в живота си – битката със самия себе си. Докато историята се разгръща, нещата вървят много добре за Питър, но когато черна субстанция прилепва към мотопеда му, всичко се преобръща.
Субстанцията се внедрява в костюма на човека-паяк, като го променя от познатото червено и синьо към мрачно черно. Трансформираният костюм се отразява на способностите на Питър, той става по-силен и по-бърз от когато и да било, но костюмът също така изважда на показ тъмната му страна, която той се бори да контролира.
