Jimmy Kimmel Live! is an American late-night talk show, created and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and broadcast on ABC. The nightly hour-long show made its debut on January 26, 2003, following Super Bowl XXXVII. Jimmy Kimmel Live! is produced by Jackhole Productions in association with ABC Studios (formerly Touchstone Television). The TV Guide Network recently began re-airing the previous night's episodes, which are seen weeknights at 7:00 pm ET.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! is not truly "live;" instead, it is taped at 7:00 pm Pacific Time on the day of broadcast (two hours before it reaches air on the East Coast), except in the event of reruns.
It is the only late-night (talk show) program in the United States that doesn't tape in the afternoon[1], and has become the longest running ABC late-night talk show since The Dick Cavett Show in the early 1970s.
